Joining our team this June after the conclusion of their college semesters, Mari Elias and Brendan McCallum are the newest members of the firm.
Built on a culture of collaboration and growth, our internships give students opportunities to test their skills in the work field. Further, our team sees the value in learning from our interns, who come to the office with fresh perspectives on the industry and can certainly provide interesting insights.
Mari joins the firm from Cleveland State University, where she’s entering her senior year of college as a mechanical engineering student.
Upon entering the office, she’s working in close coordination with Senior Mechanical Director John Milenius, PE, LEED AP, who oversees all mechanical design work in our Eastlake office.
“I am interested in mechanical engineering because I enjoy problem solving and creativity, and my favorite subjects include math and physics,” Mari said of her desire to pursue a degree in the industry.
Coming to the team from Ohio University, Brendan McCallum is also a rising senior, pursuing his degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
Brendan previously earned internship experience through programs with NASA, Case Western Reserve University, and Lakewood Municipal Court’s Clerk of Courts Office.
He also works part-time as a Student Technology Services Worker at Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs. Brendan's role includes providing IT support for staff and research students, assisting with the teaching of summer tech camps for students in the sixth-through-twelfth grade, and creating Powershell scripts for automating software removal.
Our engineering team is thrilled to have two new members assisting in their workload this summer, both for the chance to work with rising members of their field and for the extra set of hands to contribute to our load of projects.
