Laketran Electrified Bus Station, Lakeland Community College
Kirtland, Ohio
Tec Inc. Engineering & Design provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services for a new electric Laketran Bus Station, located at the Southeast corner of the main Lakeland Community College parking lot entrance. The bus station includes an electrified connection in the canopy for charging the electric buses. The station floor plan includes a lobby area, public restrooms, storage areas and mechanical/electrical rooms.
The facility has independent utility services taken from route 306. In order to service Laketran’s new electrical bus systems and infrastructure, Tec Inc. teamed with CT Consultants to provide services for the upgrades. Included in this project, the property required the installation of an electric bus charging station in addition to the reconstruction of the Wickliffe location’s Park’n’Ride lot.
